Welcome! The Samford Community Garden at Millen Farm was established in July 2023.  In the first few months, we have been laying the groundwork for the garden, applying for grants, and most recently, installing a state of the art irrigation system. We are working toward an official open to the public date in October this year. 

We meet on a Friday morning from 9am-12pm to build and create the community garden.  We welcome new volunteers to come along!  We welcome different skills and abilities to help us grow. 

The Samford Community Garden sits under the umbrella of the community run Millen Farm, and overseen by the volunteer Board.  The administration and direction of the garden is managed in a volunteer capacity by local growing advocate, Susanne Engelhard, since 2021. The shared growing areas of the farm as well as the general maintenance and lawn areas, are managed by volunteers of the Samford Community Garden.
